LipoTherme is a body sculpting and contouring procedure that uses fat-melting abilities of fiber optic lasers to effectively rid fat with less discomfort, trauma, bruising, swelling, downtime and blood loss. Healing times are also faster and general anesthesia is not necessary.

After numbing the treatment area with a local anesthetic, a small cut is made to allow a thin, hollow metal tube (cannula) to be guided into the incision. The tube’s hollow center lets the specialist insert a laser fiber through which laser energy is discharged. The heat released softens the fat and liquefies the fat cells. The procedure is often used in combination with traditional liposuction. In this case, the liquefied fat is suctioned out through the same tube.
