Liquid Facelift, what is it?

I don't have time to recover from a regular facelift, and I heard that a liquid facelift can provide results that are just as significant. What exactly is a liquid facelift? How do the results compare to a traditional facelift, and is Botox used in the procedure?

'Liquid Facelift' is a term used to refer to the administration of a filler and botulinum toxin. The term is misleading because the results of treatment do not simulate a surgical facelift. Filler is used to reduce the appearance of depressions (cheeks) and creases (nasolabial and mentolabial folds, i.e., laugh lines and marionette lines) on the skin and botulinum toxin is used reduce facial expression lines, primarily on the upper third of the face (vertical lines between the brows, horizontal lines on the forehead and crows feet lines). A surgical facelift reduces excess facial skin producing less sagging and less laxity.

The liquid facelift is a combination of treatments used to improve the face. We often use Botox and Sculptra. As we mature our face starts to cave in. A young face is a rounder face, while an older face starts to cave in the cheek area. Sculptra works beautifully in the caved in areas to help you build your own collagen back in a natural way. Sometimes I also use a dermal filler in addition. This is a way to improve the face in less than an hour and not do surgery. It is also more affordable than a face lift.
