I have rough skin and wrinkles, are Chemical Peels the best treatment?

My face has an orange peel texture and I have medium depth wrinkles. I am looking for a procedure to help with both of these problems. What would you recommend that would give me the best results?

I would recommend either Fraxel or CO2 Laser Resurfacing. There is now a
Fractional CO2 Laser treatment available which would give you better results
with fewer treatments.
You would need a consult with a Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon that does
all 3 types of treatments. This way you could have the best opinion for you.

From the sounds of it, you will need a minimum of a medium depth TCA
(trichloroacetic acid) peel or laser resurfacing. Light or superficial
chemical peels will show some benefit but will not be long lasting
results.

There are a number of options including chemical peels, but unless you are doing a very deep chemical peel (like phenol) that involves days to weeks of downtime, we do not think you will get a good result with chemical peels for wrinkles. Superficial chemical peels may help for orange peel skin. You may want to consider laser resurfacing (there are many types) including Erbium, CO2 and fractional laser resurfacing. These will work better on wrinkles and orange peel skin than superficial chemical peels.

You may also want to consider dermal fillers or Botox for wrinkles.
