My face is very pale, dry, and a few fadeing freckles, with some facial vein. Will a chemical peel help brighten my complexion?
First, let's go under the assumption that when you refer to "chemical peel", you are talking about a peel that is administered by one of our licensed aestheticians using an alpha hydroxy acid or beta hydroxy acid. These acids, which are derived from nature, do not require any lengthy downtime like many heavy duty chemical peels do, and, quite frankly, who wants to be a hermit for weeks at a time?
Now that we have that established, the answer to your questions is a most definite yes! A chemical peel will brighten your complexion by removing the very top layer of skin by helping the exfoliating process along. You see when we were younger, our skin cells naturally sloughed off, but as we get older the cells get "stuck" which can cause your skin to look pale and dull. After one peel, you'll notice a beautiful youthful glow to your skin that's the new, plump cells showing! Also, because your skin is now free of all the old cells, when you apply your corrective home care products they penetrate and do the work they're suppose to do.
After a series of corrective peels, (several peels done in a short amount of time) you'll notice your skin feeling less dry too. This is because the rapid turnover of cells is actually making your skin healthier, and you'll notice a lot of your freckles or sun damage fading from the exfoliating process. So please don't hesitate and book your facial peel now, and don't forget to wear your sunscreen!

While a chemical peel should help freshen the face, it will not help with freckles or facial veins if it is a relatively superficial (light) peel. A superficial peel will make your skin feel softer and smoother, but we recommend lasers for optimal treatment of facial veins and freckles.
